Bhavana Krishnamoorthy was born on 29 January 1975.
She was a PhD research student at University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and was murdered, aged 29 years, on 29 April 2004. Her body was found in a room at the Formule 1 Hotel in Mile Lane, Cheylesmore, Coventry, CV1 2LN, early on 30 April 2004.
She had been strangled by her paranoid schizophrenic boyfriend, Emachi Eneje, who at the time was aged 24 years. He lived at St Catherine's Close, Stoke Aldermoor, Coventry, West Midlands, CV3 1EH and was arrested after crashing his mother's car as he left the hotel. He had twice been hospitalised for mental health problems and pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. He was sentenced to be detained indefinitely in a secure hospital.
She was cremated on 8 May 2004 at the Hendon Cemetery and Crematorium, Holders Hill Road, London, NW7 1NB.
