Michael Norton

At the time of his death Norton was a landscape architect involved in the creation of Burgess Park, living at High Street, Hampton Hill, TW12, married, aged 20-30. See Geoffrey Mills for details.

Andrew Behan has researched this man: Michael John Norton was born on 3 April 1941 in Surrey, the son of Flight Lieutenant Charles James Norton (1916-1942) and Lottie Ellen Margaret Norton née Ferguson (1910-1999). His father died when his Catalina flying boat failed to return from a mission on 22 February 1942 and his sister, Jennifer Norton, was born later that year. In 1973 he married Jennifer A. McKinnell (1943-2002) in Devon. He died, aged 37 years, on 13 January 1979 in an air crash at Biggin Hill, Bromley. Probate records show his home address had been 231 High Street, Hampton Hill and his estate totalled £7,533. Telephone directories show him listed at this address from 1976.
