Rev. Austin Thompson

Born Malta, son of an army man. From his alma mater, the King's School Canterbury "From 1909 to 1916 he was Vicar of St Peter's Ealing and from 1916 until his death he was Vicar of St Peter's Eaton Square. In 1929 he took the additional duties of Rural Dean of Westminster and in 1934 was appointed a Prebendary of St Paul's Cathedral. During the war he served as a shelter warden and a firewatcher. He was killed during an enemy air raid when bombs hit St Peter's Church, Eaton Square."
