Yoda

Categories: Cinema, Fictional

Character in the Star Wars series. In the original films, he trains Luke Skywalker to fight against the Galactic Empire, and in the prequel films, he serves as the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. The character dies in 'Return of the Jedi' at the age of 900. His voice with its curious syntax, was provided by Frank Oz of Muppets fame. His appearance was designed by Stuart Freeborn, supposedly combining his own features with those of Albert Einstein.
